When people feel respected, they thrive and feel empowered to contribute their best. Business professionals play a key role in guiding a culture of civility and respect, including implementing and sustaining practices promoting a safe and professional workplace. This workshop will equip business professionals with the knowledge and skills to address the impact of harmful and destructive workplace behaviours and establish expectations for civility and respect.
Upon completion of this course participants will be prepared to:
- Identify the importance and impact of guiding a culture of civility and respect
- Define unprofessional and destructive workplace behaviours, including incivility, discrimination, harassment, sexual harassment and violence
- Identify the human resource and allied business professional’s role, including legal and organizational responsibilities for guiding a culture of civility and respect
- Implement strategies for addressing destructive workplace behaviours and supporting a culture of respect and inclusion at work
